Wire potentiometer for mounting on fume cupboards for registration of front window position.
The potentiometer is equipped with a special wire which is fixed to the fume cupboard window.
The extent of wire drawn is controlled by the window position. The position of the window corresponds to an amplified 0-10 VDC output signal, and it is controlled on a 10 turn potentiometer. The return of the wire is controlled by a spring housing. The special construction of this spring housing allows the potentiometer to register a 1.2 m window movement without affecting the operation of the fume cupboard.
The wire has been specially selected for the purpose; stainless steel, acid proof and coated ensuring a long lifespan in a conventional fume cupboard environment.
The control signal expands the user applications considerably. The potentiometer can e.g. control dampers, volume flow regulators, frequency converters and voltage regulators as well as BMS monitoring of windows on existing systems.
Supply power and control voltage output are galvanic separated.
